Cursor studio
Shape it live, then export. Same geometry as the render files — what you see is what ships.
Every corner gets the same curve — the outline is rebuilt from its true edges, so the top matches both ends. Above ~24 the sharper ends stop matching; 24 is the largest that stays even.
Keep it low — above ~40% it stops reading as subtle, and a wide soft shadow can clip at the canvas edge.
Keeps the cursor readable on any background. Set to 0 for none.
0 is a hard-edged bar; higher values soften it into a glow. It stays clipped inside the shape either way.
Drag on the preview to position it. The reference is preview-only — never exported.
Load an image to trace over — set it faint, then match the shape with the sliders (or the outline toggle).
First point = hotspot. Drag a dot to nudge it. Paste the points to me for a ready-to-use .cur.
Tip: if a download doesn’t start, right-click the preview → “Save image as”.
Paste this back to me and I’ll pack the ready-to-use multi-resolution .cur (with the hotspot baked in) from the same math.
Move around over text to see how the tip sits against small type, and whether the link colour still reads underneath it.
The border earns its keep on the darker and same-colour tiles.
Prefer a full editor? Draw pixel-by-pixel and export .cur/.ani at cursor.cc or MouseTesting’s cursor builder (multi-size .cur in the browser), or RealWorld Cursor Editor (free desktop app, animated cursors). Or upload a PNG from here to ImageToCursor.
